Perform daily crane checks and maintenance, and reports in the logbook provided
Operating the platform crane within its operating parameters during all lifting operations
Management of the lifting equipment required for the safe and effective operation of the platform crane.
Assign Roustabout(s) to the cementing unit to assist service personnel with their operation of cementing the casing.
Remove from service any lifting equipment that is deemed not to be safe for use.
Maintaining a familiarity with all drilling tools and assisting in checking associated equipment as directed by the Tourpusher.
Reporting of any defects in drilling or lifting equipment immediately so as to enable repairs to be carried out at the first opportunity.
Supervise the crew to maintain a high standard of housekeeping of the BOP deck, production area and other delegated areas of the platform
