Job Purpose:
We are looking to hire Senior Engineer - Structural (Rig Building) ,
This job role is to ensure :
Execute engineering activities (Concept, Front End Engineering, Technical Study and Detail Design.
Contribute to preparation of design deliverables such as Design & Construction Drawings, Structural Analysis & Reports, with due consideration for applicable codes & standards.
Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Management Procedure.
Identify manpower requirements based on workload.
Progress monitoring and adherence to scheduled completion of engineering documents.
Capture all changes / modifications in the deliverables that has been intimated by Project, prior to release of deliverable.
Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships:
Key Accountabilities:
The Senior Engineer - Structural (Rig Building) who will be responsible for but not limited to:
Engineering design work in rig building - 80% of the time approx.
Coordination / communication (internal and external) - 10% of the time approx.
Progress of project deliverables/commitments - 10% of the time approx.
Progress monitoring and adherence to scheduled completion of engineering documents.
Capture all changes / modifications in the deliverables that has been intimated by Project, prior to release of deliverable.
Ensure appropriate checking & review of all documents / drawings before release at any revision status.
Prepare specification, technical evaluation, Supplier documentation review.
Interface with other departments to reflect the as -on-date input from other departments as applicable.
Maintain the required technical quality of work.
Attend project review & 3D model review meetings as required.
Coordination with the other Engineering disciplines, Customer and Supplier.
Control of quality of engineering documents regarding Quality Assurance basis.
Review of MTO and Material Requisitions.
Provide all required bid inputs, as necessary.
Responsible for the structural engineering integrity of the assigned work area.
Ensure compliance to HSE policies and procedures as applicable.
Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures.
Working Relationships:
Internal Interactions:
Internal Engineering Department, other business work-streams within the company, Division Head - Structural.
External Interactions:
Customers, Supplier, Subcontractors, Consultants, Inspection Agencies.
Who we are looking for:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering
Experience:
5/+ years in engineering design department of any offshore rig building or ship building industry.
Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations):
Preferred -Any additional certification I courses in Structural Engineering.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
Design experience in steel structural analysis software used in marine industry .
Exposure to AutoCAD 30 design tools like AVEV A
Exposure to structural design software such as AN SYS, SACS, ST MD Pro, Abaqus.
Demonstrated high order interpersonal skills and the ability to operate within a multinational environment.
Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate others with regards to continuous improvement.
Good communication and presentation skills .
Languages:
