Drillmar Resources are currently recruiting for a permanent First Engineer vacancy, joining a 5th generation semi-submersible Drilling rig which is currently operational in Nigeria.
Start Date:
Candidate to mobilise between 5-12 September (for a handover period) with a 4/4 rotation commencing 12 September 2023.
Certification / Qualifications:
Offshore Survival Training including HUET EBS and CA-EBS.
STCW Class III/2 Chief Engineer (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency.
STCW Proficiency in Security Awareness A-VI/6-1.
Responsibilities / Activities:
Ensure safe compliance with all company policies, procedures, STOPS, and contractual requirements as appropriate.
Ensure safe and efficient compliance with all safety regulations, codes of industry practice, ACOP, and guidance notes.
Communicate and demonstrate that safety is a line management responsibility.
Ensure timely completion of performance appraisals and effective administration of the disciplinary procedure.
Actively co-ordinate and participate as required in emergency response and drills.
Offering advice, training, and/or expertise through own qualifications and experience to all members of their crew, either directly or via delegation and nomination.
Maintain communications with other departments regarding work priorities and operational requirements.
Execute all aspects of the Planned Maintenance System relating to drilling equipment, prime movers, and associated equipment.
Liaise with the Chief Engineer/OIM regarding maintenance, repairs, and planning ahead to avoid the risk of delay through equipment downtime.
Ensure that a full and comprehensive handover is given for each shift and tour (written) change.
