Job Description:
OSM Thome Recruitment is looking for an experienced Welder to join our technical team onboard. The Welder will perform repair and maintenance tasks safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. This position requires proven shipboard experience and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
• Secure all necessary work permits before starting tasks
• Ensure a Fire Patrol is present before beginning any hot work
• Safely store welding equipment after use
• Inspect and maintain welding tools and accessories, reporting any issues to the Staff Chief Engineer
• Keep the welding workshop and gas storage areas clean, safe, and organized
• Follow all occupational health and safety protocols during work
• Request refills of welding gases/oxygen bottles, ensuring limits are not exceeded
• Comply with all environmental policies and procedures
• Actively participate in safety drills and training sessions

Requirements:
• Minimum 12 months of proven experience as a Welder (cruise ship experience preferred)
• High school diploma or technical training certificate
• Valid STCW Basic Safety Training
• Good command of English (spoken and written)
• Strong teamwork skills and commitment to safety
• Positive attitude and ability to represent the Carnival brand
