Job Description
A prestigious Motor Yacht operating in European waters is seeking an experienced Engine Fitter to join its engineering department.
The successful candidate will assist with the maintenance, repair, and servicing of onboard machinery and engineering systems, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the yacht while maintaining the highest superyacht engineering standards.
This position is ideal for marine engineering professionals with previous motor yacht or commercial vessel experience.
Job Responsibilities
Carry out maintenance and repair of engine room machinery
Assist engineers with planned maintenance and inspections
Maintain pumps, valves, piping systems, and auxiliary equipment
Perform welding, fabrication, and mechanical repair work when required
Keep the engine room clean and well organized
Participate in safety drills and emergency procedures
Ensure compliance with ISM and yacht safety regulations
Maintain engineering records as assigned
Requirements
Previous experience as Engine Fitter onboard Motor Yachts or commercial vessels
Valid STCW 2010 certification package
Valid passport
Valid ENG1 or equivalent medical certificate
Good English communication skills
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of diesel engines and auxiliary machinery
Excellent teamwork and safety awareness
