Job Description:

An 80m+ Private Sailing Yacht is looking for an experienced Lead Deckhand to join its professional deck team. The vessel is currently in a shipyard with a global itinerary planned following refit completion. This is a hands-on role suited for an individual with a strong deck skill set, leadership capabilities, and a proactive attitude.

The yacht operates under private use with high standards of operation and presentation. Candidates with sailing experience, additional trade skills (e.g., carpentry, diving), or a Yachtmaster certification are especially encouraged to apply.

This position offers a dynamic working environment aboard a large, world-traveling sailing yacht with a tight-knit crew and long-term potential.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Lead daily deck operations including mooring, anchoring, and sail handling
• Assist with guest activities and water sports setup
• Oversee maintenance and cleaning of exterior areas
• Train and support junior deck crew
• Maintain high safety and aesthetic standards onboard

Requirements:

• Valid STCW 95 / STCW 2010 certification
• Valid ENG1 Medical Certificate
• Minimum 2 years of experience in similar deck positions on yachts
• Strong understanding of deck operations and vessel maintenance
• Proficiency in English communication
• Yachtmaster certification – beneficial
• Additional skills (diving, carpentry, trade background) – a plus
• Sailing background preferred but not essential

Visa Requirements:

• B1/B2 visa (for U.S. entry)
• Schengen visa or EU residency / visa-free exemption

Employment Details:

• Start Date: 1st November (flexible)
• Contract Duration: Full-time with rotation
• Salary: $4,000/month + negotiable depending on experience
• Leave: 60 days/year
• Benefits: Flights, uniform, meals, insurance, tips (if applicable)
